The name coming from words Environment and Zan. Zan means to “praise highly” which is doxa in greek. The word EnviroZan means: To praise highly The Environment
EnviroZan (hereafter referred to as EZ) is a green portal for Tigris and Euphrates rivers and their basins. I started EZ at the begging of 2005 by doing some “long distance” research on the region. The website has start officially on the 2.nd of August 2007 and accessable by four most used TLD ( .info, .org, .net and .com). This site is an independent autonomous entity portal.
The general objective of EZ is to promote and foster the collection and disseminating of knowledge on environmental problems in interested region.
EZ’s mission to region is dedicated to understand the region’s environmental problems, the effects of humans on environment and to protect environment and natural resources. EZ is pioneering the study of Environmental Change in the region and for doing this, EZ is planning to carry on researches on environmental topics related to the region, monitoring and prediction, which is essential to humans making informed decisions about protecting their environment. These activities are enabling us to better understand environmental changes, to determine how human activities have contributed to these changes and to understand the consequences of such changes. Our strategy has to be that we will work with the region as one area or unit and will ignore all existed country boarders which never can prevent environmental disaster. If you would like to contribute or work with this site you have to believe that we will deal with a region that has been created by the nature.
All interested environment activists, experts, academics, institutes, universities, organizations, centers and concern sections and departments in governments around the world are heartily welcome to contribute to develop skills, knowledge and values that promote behavior in support of a sustainable environment which is the main aim of this site.
The main language is English but we do with pleasure accept your contributes in other languages in from the interested region.
Specific activities of EZ are:
1. Collecting, evaluating and disseminating technical information in the region or on the region;
2. Promoting and assisting in the conduct of research in the region;
3. Co-operating with international and national organizations having an interest in the Field;
4. Publishing material, such as proceedings, journals, reference books, directories, reports and data sheets online;
